Red Shirt Friday is a spreading idea that has Americans wearing a red shirt on Friday, as a show of solidarity in support of our troops. These men and women need to know that we stand by them, no matter how we feel about the war. Paw-Zn-Around is proud to participate and support this effort.

We want to show further support for the men and women who have been severely wounded. We’re doing this by selling Red Shirt Friday T-shirts and donating $7 from each T-shirt sold to the Wounded Warrior Legacy Foundation of Maine. This $7 represents 100% of the profits!

This way we can support our troops two fold, first by wearing the red shirt on Friday, and second the donation to help folks who deservedly need our help.

You may have see a recent news story on this as the Biddeford Fire Department is also doing a Red T-Shirt sale with proceeds going to the same foundation.

The Wounded Heroes of Maine Program is a pilot project of WLF that will help our troops who have been injured to transition from active duty to civilian life. There are many difficulties involved with this, even more so for those hurt in the service of our country. This program will help them with paperwork and administrative functions related to gaining access to all the services and assistance they have earned with their sacrifice.

Volunteers help them navigate all of the various bureaucracies, find adequate housing, look for work, and anything else that will make their transition as smooth as possible.
